Licensed real agent Matthew Skene is breaking new ground for Kollosche in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, building genuine relationships to achieve premium prices for prestige property owners in the Byron Shire and surrounding areas.
Playing property matchmaker is Matthew’s superpower, drawing on an extensive network of relationships to pair each property to an ideal buyer. The ability to think outside the box and negotiate challenging transactions drives optimum outcomes.
A few highlights across the Byron Shire and Northern NSW region speak for themselves.
The charming and secluded country estate property at 826 Friday Hut Rd, Brooklet set a new record sale for Newrybar when it sold for $14,000,000. Matthew secured a premium result for the country manor when it sold five days prior to going to auction with an exclusive online marketing campaign.
Also in Newrybar, a remarkable off-market sale of $5,200,000 was achieved for the picturesque property at 727 Hinterland Way, Newrybar.
Matthew led a national marketing campaign on The Beach House, a stylish function and events centre overlooking the ocean in East Ballina. A $7,200,000 sale price was achieved in collaboration with Kollosche Commercial.
A successful auction campaign on a 75-acre Byron hinterland holding at 175 Flowers Road, Binna Burra fetched $4,150,000 which was $250,000 over the reserve.
Matthew also achieved $3,100,000, under the hammer for the sellers of an idyllic country estate on 18 acres in the Byron Bay hinterland hamlet of Brooklet.
A high-level performer known for consistent results, Matthew comes from an extensive sales and marketing background in Sydney where he worked for multinational giants such as Lion Nathan and Cisco Systems.
With more than eight years playing professional sport, including rugby in Italy and rugby league for the North Sydney Bears and Manly Sea Eagles gives him a competitive edge in the real estate arena.
But it’s Matthew’s easy-going nature and genuine approach that put vendors and buyers at ease during an otherwise stressful process. He takes the time to get to know people in order to understand their needs and act in their best interests.
“I love meeting new people from all walks of life and find the challenge of matching buyers with sellers an exciting part of the journey.”
Having relocated from Sydney to the Byron Bay hinterland with wife Amy and their three children, Matthew has a strong appreciation for the lifestyle this amazing region has to offer. Surfing, yoga and tennis are part of the weekly routine while his competitive spirit really kicks in across the ping pong table.
