Infinity Finds Its Point of Difference in Broadbeach

Breaking dirt is a major milestone in any construction project, but for the developer behind Broadbeach’s Infinity tower, the buzz of activity on-site is extra sweet.

Infinity Broadbeach is Bassar Construction Group’s debut Gold Coast project, building on a foundation of ventures in Sydney and Melbourne.

“Coming from Sydney, we had a lot to learn about the local market to find our point of difference,” says Leo Sarris, who heads up Bassar alongside Simon Bassil.

“It was tough to get a foothold, but Infinity has been well-received and we’re feeling confident in the market.”

For Sarris, that induction involved relocating from Sydney to Broadbeach two years ago, giving him a first-hand taste of what makes the suburb such a magnet for locals and visitors alike.

“In my eyes, Broadbeach is the only suburb in the country that has everything you could want in life in the one postcode,” he says.

“In Sydney, you travel to get to the beach, the shops, the Casino and the nightlife. Here, that’s all within walking distance.

“For downsizers or ‘lock and leave’ buyers wanting that easy way of life, I think not needing to drive because everything is two minutes from your doorstep is invaluable.”

Bassar engaged leading Gold Coast architects BDA Group, who designed a striking tower set to rise 40 storeys and a unique floorplan in the shape of a double infinity symbol.

“Our apartments are the largest on the market in Broadbeach,” says Sarris.

“You don’t normally see a building this big with so few apartments in there. The size, the finishes, and the wrap-around balconies give the product an edge.”

“It was also important that the building be residents-only, reserved exclusively for owner-occupiers or those wanting a ‘lock and leave’ beach lifestyle.”

After two years of solid planning, Hutchinson Builders have started work on the 1123m2 site, on the corner of Surf Parade and George Street, on a two-year construction schedule.

Progress on the build is backed by steady sales interest through Kollosche’s New Projects specialists, Simon Worthington and Andrew Ramsey.

The Infinity Broadbeach penthouse, which would span 471m2 and boasts a rooftop terrace, was snapped up by an offshore buyer for $5,800,000 last year.

Priced from $1,180,000, there are 60 three or four-bedroom apartments on offer, all with balconies, premium finishes and enviable coastal views.

The 216m2 half-floor residences feature 180-degree coastline views spanning north to south, while 432m2 whole floor residences boast 360-degree views from wrap-around balconies.

Resident facilities at Infinity Broadbeach will include a 20-metre pool, gymnasium, function room and café.
