The Gold Coast is starting to feel the “Hollywood effect” with an influx of film studios and international streaming services driving the demand for luxury rental properties.

As the Gold Coast’s popularity as a film-shoot location grows, production companies are under pressure to source suitable accommodation for a growing posse of actors and crew.

Todd Madgwick, head of Kollosche Property Management, says his team has been working closely with industry giants, such as Village Roadshow, Warner Bros
and Amazon Prime, for productions being filmed in the region over the next six to nine months.

“We’ve already housed quite a few actors and production crew, including the lease of a house along the beachfront for $10,000 a week,” he says.

waterfront and beachfront residences.
