A prime beachside holding in Northern NSW has sold following a national marketing campaign led by Kollosche’s Commercial and Residential teams.

The Beach House East Coast, a conscious conference and events venue located at 70 Shelly Beach Road in East Ballina, has sold for $7,200,000 to an unnamed Sydney buyer.

The 2-acre headland site faces north to capture spectacular ocean and coastline views with direct access to Angels and Shelly Beach.

Kollosche Commercial agent Adam Grbcic said a five-week campaign netted 189 enquiries from local, Melbourne and Sydney buyers which culminated in five firm offers.

“The Northern NSW location and beachfront position made this site very appealing to a range of buyers,” says Adam.

“The potential end uses ranged from health retreats, rehabilitation clinics through to community living and for use as a function centre.”

The property was marketed in collaboration with Kollosche’s Matthew Skene, tapping into Kollosche’s extensive network of commercial and residential buyers.

The sale result further boosts Kollosche’s results and presence in Northern NSW, where a growing team now includes Karin Heller and gun Sydney realtor Kim Jones.

With so many Australians now looking to holiday at home due to COVID, venues in beautiful beachside or leafy locations are in very high demand.

“There is a huge demand for assets that allow for events with capacity in that region,” says Adam.

“The movement in the market is very much towards boutique accommodation venues that offer an experience beyond the generic.”

The Beach House East Coast was sold by Tom and Emma Lane, who transformed the former Christian camp into a stylish venue capable of hosting up to 250 people for conferences, retreats and events.

Kollosche Commercial is now fielding interest in a restaurant, wedding and events venue at 950-952 Beaudesert Nerang Road in Mount Nathan.

The historic 6.20 hectare hinterland site backs onto the Coomera River and presents a bespoke event venue, restaurant space or blank canvas for an array of business opportunities.
