Demand for coveted Gold Coast property has steered the conversation since the start of the year and as we draw closer to the end of 2021 the state of growth continues.
The latest Domain House Price Report has listed the top 20 performing suburbs in property transactions across Australia from January to June of 2021, with Surfers Paradise sitting in first place. From the first half of the year, the coastal suburb has seen a surge in transactions with an 8.3 percent annual increase and a total sales volume of 2,325 properties.
Surfers Paradise wasn’t the only Gold Coast suburb to make the top 20 list. Southport followed in at number eight with 984 sales and a 6.9 percent increase. Broadbeach also made the list ranking at number 11 with a 5.1 percent increase and 859 sales total.
The popularity of Queensland as a whole has risen from a surge in investors looking to take advantage of the continuous growth potential. According to the 2021 Annual Property Investor Sentiment Survey from PIPA, almost 60 percent of investors now ranked Queensland as the best place in Australia to invest, with strong predictions that the prices will only continue to rise in the coming years with the reopening of international borders and 2032 Olympic Games as the market driving force.
