A stunning designer residence on the Gold Coast’s most coveted beachfront strip has changed hands for $15,600,000 in an off-market deal handled by Michael Kollosche.

The impressive architectural design at 127 Hedges Avenue features exposed concrete, timber accents and expansive glazing to capitalise on an enviable ocean outlook.

The two level residence wraps around a central courtyard where a resort-style pool enjoys privacy and protection from the weather.

The upper level boasts two master bedrooms and three additional bedrooms separated by a central atrium while a sixth bedroom caters for guests on the lower level.

The ground floor is devoted to spacious living, dining and entertaining zones opening onto a beachfront terrace just metres from the sand and surf of Mermaid Beach.

“The quality of this residence is exceptional and a rare find on Hedges Avenue,” says Michael.

“I had been working with the buyer who wanted to upgrade to a beachfront residence on the Gold Coast. The calibre and location of this property certainly delivers on all fronts.”

Records show vendors Michael and Benita Brosnan purchased the 607m2 site in April 2017 for $6,300,000 before realising plans to build on the site later that year.

The Brosnans were approached to sell after they acquired nearby 131 Hedges Avenue in April of this year for $6,600,000. It is understood they plan to build a new residence on the 405m2 site.

The latest sale is the second major deal along Multi-Millionaires’ Row this year, with Michael Kollosche and Ryan Ward securing a $15,750,000 contract on 159 Hedges Avenue in January.

That luxury estate delivered the new owner six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a six-car basement garage, gym, wine cellar and pool over four levels.

The Kollosche team this week set the price pace for prestige property on the Gold Coast for the new financial year with the sale of the Sovereign Islands’ Bellagio estate for $7,900,000.

Five bidders registered at Wednesday’s onsite auction where a crowd of more than 50 watched one of the city’s most desirable homes go under the hammer.
