The Gold Coast community came together last week at the annual Kollosche People’s Lunch, raising an incredible $390,000 in support of Gold Coast charity Serving Our People (SOP).

Held at The Langham, the event was attended by 400 people and featured a panel discussion with community leaders, live auction and a fashion show by Gina Kim and House of Falcone.

All funds raised enable SOP to continue its essential work in helping people to overcome hardship by delivering food, clothing and vital assistance to individuals and families in need across Australia.

Kollosche Managing Director Michael Kollosche says the event is a reminder of what can be achieved when people with a common purpose come together.

“As rising costs put many Gold Coast residents under immense financial strain, particularly in the lead-up to Christmas, we are proud to support Serving Our People and are grateful for their essential work with our community’s most vulnerable,” Michael says.

“Kollosche extends a sincere thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this year’s lunch.

“Your collective support not only empowers SOP but also strengthens the bonds that make our community resilient. Together, we can help build a brighter future for all.”

In the past 12 months, Kollosche has redistributed more than $3 million within the wider community through donations and fundraising, including monies raised through its own Community Fund.
