At Kollosche, giving back to the community is a founding principle of its business. Through its dedicated Community Fund, a percentage of every property sale, along with company and team member contributions, goes towards helping those who need it most.
In the past financial year, its commitment resulted in $600,000 donated to individuals, organisations and grassroots initiatives across the Gold Coast. From health foundations, environmental groups and organisations supporting people at risk to surf lifesaving clubs and junior sporting associations, the Fund’s reach reflects a diversity of causes that sit closest to its heart.
Kollosche has backed 10 Cent Tom since the charity began.
With the cost-of-living pressure mounting for many in the community, Community Fund chairperson Kara Christensen said the need for assistance grows deeper every year.
“When Kollosche first started the Fund in 2021, we were probably partnering with and assisting about 16 different causes and charities,” she said.
“This number has grown every year since and in the past 12 months alone we have provided financial assistance to more than 80 organisations and individuals.
Kollosche supports the Gold Coast Hospital Transport Service.
“Cancer patients featured predominantly among the recipients this year, which is sad when you think about how many people and families are now affected by this insidious disease.
“Seeing the impact we can have in helping to alleviate some of the pressures around that is why the Community Fund is so important.”
The business gives financial support and their time to help charity Baby Give Back.
The Fund purposefully extended its reach in FY25-26, forging new relationships and community partnerships, while continuing its commitment to others, including:
Gold Coast Hospital Foundation: The foundation helps ensure local patients and families receive vital care, equipment and support services to strengthen health outcomes across our community. As part of this partnership, Kollosche has for several years supported its Cancer Patient Transport Service, which removes transport barriers for patients during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Mermaid Beach Surf Lifesaving Club: Already a supporter of several surf clubs across the coast, Kollosche this year added Mermaid Beach to the stable to help support the hundreds of volunteers who give up their time to keep our beaches safe and nurture the next generation of surf life savers who will continue this vital service.
Enriching Lives Foundation: The foundation helps children and young people experiencing financial hardship stay engaged in education by funding essentials such as uniforms, books, meals and school costs. Kollosche is proud to be helping them create opportunities for brighter futures for young people, which helps to build stronger local communities
Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation: The Fund support’s the foundation’s efforts to protect endangered wildlife through conservation, research and education, helping to safeguard vulnerable species while inspiring future generations to value and protect our natural environment.
Broadbeach Cats Club: This is a club close to the hearts of Kollosche sales agents Jason and Nicky Cunningham. The business is proud to sponsor the club because strong grassroots sport builds stronger communities and provides local children and families with opportunities to develop teamwork, resilience, leadership and lifelong connections.
10 Cent Tom: Kollosche has backed 10 Cent Tom and his charity since its inception because it creates meaningful employment opportunities for people living with disability, while promoting recycling, community inclusion and having a positive environmental impact across the Gold Coast.
Kollosche is proud to be the major sponsor of Mermaid Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
While these are just a sample of the Fund’s reach, it shows the depth of support across all sectors that is needed within our local communities and why the support of local businesses is so important. In FY2026-27, Kollosche aims to build on its legacy.
“Kollosche is about so much more than just selling real estate,” Mrs Christensen said. “We are genuinely here to help people.”
