Luxury Rental Demand Booms

The demand for prestige rentals has never been hotter on the Gold Coast. Luxury beachfront apartments, waterfront properties, hinterland acreages with breathtaking views and the perfect family home are all on the list for both local and interstate tenants.

The Domain Rent Report for the September 2021 quarter revealed that the rent for Gold Coast housing rose five percent over the past three months to $630 per week, while unit rentals reached $500 per week.

Interstate migration has been at the forefront of property demand, and with it, we are seeing the strongest recorded rate of annual growth for housing rentals since records began in 2004 with a 22.9 percent growth. Rent for units also saw a 13.6 percent increase over the year, the highest since 2007.

With more Australians on the hunt for high-quality homes to lease on the Gold Coast, investing your property to rent has never been better.

Katie Dalton, Kollosche Business Development Manager for executive leasing, says we continue to see the highest enquiry for family homes.

“Family homes, in locations from Main Beach to Palm Beach which are close to private schools and the beach are our most requested,” she says.

Katie believes it’s an excellent time for investors right now as there is so much demand for quality homes to lease.

“There is a big upside for landlords in the current market and many benefits for investors to make a good return on their investments.”

At Kollosche, we have a portfolio of prestige rentals available with plenty of demand as an upside for investors.

Some of the most impressive properties we currently have for lease include 3535 Main Beach Parade, Main Beach, a four-level, prime beachfront, Hamptons style home with breathtaking ocean views.
