The ballroom at The Star was brimming with heart, purpose and community spirit on Saturday night, 1,000 guests gathered for the fifth annual Kollosche People’s Ball – a signature event dedicated to raising funds for Serving Our People (SOP).

From moving speeches to high-impact entertainment, the evening delivered on every level. Guests were treated to a live performance by ARIA Award-nominated pop artist Ricki-Lee and rising Gold Coast singer-songwriter Tobiahs, with a special video message from acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann.

Among those who took to the stage were Michael Kollosche, Managing Director of Kollosche; Yas Matbouly, Founder of Serving Our People; The Hon. John-Paul Langbroek MP, State Member for Surfers Paradise and Minister for Education and the Arts; and Emma Salerno, CEO and Partner at Salerno Law and Executive Chairman of Ringers Western – each delivering powerful words that highlighted the importance of giving back.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, donated and bid in the live auction, we raised over $1,100,000 to support SOP’s mission – delivering food, clothing, and essential services to individuals and families in need across Australia, while fostering a global culture of service.
