It didn’t take long for Kollosche to send its first suburb record for 2024 tumbling with the sale of a waterfront home in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Hollywell.

Agents Paul Harrison and Michael Kollosche worked collaboratively to market 3-5 Abel Tasman Place, which holds a premier north-facing position metres from the Broadwater.

After only seven days on the market, it sold prior to auction to an interstate buyer for $6,200,000, surpassing the existing suburb record held by a property at neighbouring No.1 by almost $500,000

Oversized waterfront blocks in this small pocket between Paradise Point and Runaway Bay and directly opposite South Stradbroke Island are tightly held with properties presenting a rare opportunity for buyers seeking a superior water-based lifestyle.

Across the past 12 months, CoreLogic data shows house prices in the suburb lifted by 15 per cent to bring the median price to $1,265,000, well above the Gold Coast median of $985,000.

Premium sales in lesser-known suburbs across the Gold Coast are set to gain traction this year as a lack of stock in historically more in-demand pockets pushes buyers to consider alternative options.

The wider northern Gold Coast market continues to perform well in 2024, with Kollosche agents securing a number of sales throughout January in the sought-after Hope Island and Sanctuary Cove resorts.

Demand for family homes in these areas is on the rise with upgraded infrastructure improving connectivity and access to well-regarded schools and amenities.

A four-bedroom family home at 3077 Forest Hills Drive in Sanctuary Cove spent just four days on the market before it was sold for $2,450,000 through agent William Sarti. William also sold a double-storey waterfront home for $2,350,000 at 7669 Fairway Boulevard, Hope Island.

Meanwhile, Kara Christensen and Eoghan Murphy sold a contemporary waterfront home at 28 Sovereign Lane in the exclusive Coomera Waters Estate for $1,980,000 after fielding more than 60 enquiries and receiving four written offers.
