Suburb record broken again

7 Crestmore Court, Mermaid Waters

Records are made to be broken and Kollosche continues to raise the benchmark in Mermaid Waters, setting a new suburb sale record for the third time this year.

Energy was high at 7 Crestmore Court on Wednesday evening when 7 bidders lined up for the keys to a newly-revamped residence facing north to a quiet stretch of water.

A persistent phone bidder from Melbourne pushed well past their pre-auction limit but it wasn’t enough to deter a local family who held their nerve for a winning bid of $3,431,000.

21 Saxonvale Terrace, Mermaid Waters

The price trumps the suburb record set by Kollosche earlier this month when 21 Saxonvale Terrace sold under the hammer for a premium price of $3,410,000.

Kollosche set the price pace back in March with a $3,000,000 contract on 52 Lakeview Boulevard while the $1,225,000 sale of 8 Lakeview Boulevard established a new suburb record for residential land in Mermaid Waters.

Anticipation is now building as Kollosche prepares to auction three blue-chip beachside holdings in what’s shaping up to be a bumper in-house auction event on the Gold Coast next week.

38 Seashell Avenue, Mermaid Beach

A picture-perfect mansion inspired by America’s grand Hamptons estates at 38 Seashell Avenue is billed as the real estate unicorn of tightly-held Mermaid Beach.

Facing north-east on a double 748m2 block, the tri-level residence is a short walk from the sand and boasts a top-floor den capturing a wrap-around ocean, cityscape and hinterland vista.

Those shopping for an eyeful of deep blue in the 4220 postcode are in for a double treat with two Burleigh Heads holdings on the auction line-up.

A prime 405m2 holding at 11 Hill Avenue, Burleigh Heads has hit the market for the first time in 23 years. Packed with potential, the original split-level residence sits within an easy stroll of James Street and Burleigh Beach.

The hammer is also poised to fall on a five-bedroom house perched on 519m2 at 119 George Street, Burleigh Heads. The hilltop position affords uninterrupted 180-degree views from the ocean to the hinterland.

Kollosche’s in-house auction event takes place from 6pm on 6 May at Kurrawa Surf Club.
