Gold Coast Luxury Apartment Sales Continue to Soar

Rob Lamb reports a string of luxury apartment sales across the Gold Coast – many within the same building – as eager buyers snap up off-market opportunities via Rob’s exclusive database.

In the four months from December 2021 to March 2022, Rob has sold five prestige apartments in the exclusive Oracle Beachfront Tower (tower 1), located in Broadbeach.

The speed of these sales confirms just how popular the Oracle towers are, largely due to their amenities and proximity to the beach, restaurants, and first-class shopping

Unit 3502 sold for $2,550,000 in December. Last sold in 2018 for $1,850,000, this popular floorplan achieved a record sale price growth of 35%. The new South Australian owners purchased via virtual inspections only and satisfied their due diligence via multiple Facetime and virtual 3D tours.

Unit 2905 sold for $3,370,000 at the beginning of February in what was Rob’s third sale of this apartment over a six-year period. Sold most recently 12 months ago for $2,600,000, this sale realises growth of 30% for the sellers.

Unit 1103 was listed online in February and, within an hour of launching, a contract for $1,350,000 was signed by a local couple who had missed out on another luxury apartment.

“We’re certainly seeing strong demand for residential sized apartments with premium facilities,” says Rob.

“Oracle ticks all of the boxes for those wanting location and lifestyle, without compromising on either.

“Downsizers who have come from large homes want something they will feel comfortable in and that they can furnish like a home.

“It’s also about the community within a residential building. Owners want to be able to socialise and feel secure.

“There are still a lot of interstate buyers moving to the Gold Coast permanently and that, coupled with local buyers downsizing, is maintaining the strong momentum in the market.

“We have a strong tailwind of buyers from 2021 and into 2022, the online enquiry is high and our auction clearance rates are well above what we are used to seeing.

“The Gold Coast market has matured a lot and more people are moving here permanently.

“No longer just a tourism hub, the Gold Coast is a much more established place to live and that’s going to underpin property values moving forward.”

Rob Lamb has also been active in nearby Surfers Paradise, recently scoring a sales ‘trifecta’ in the iconic Sentinel building.

In January, the stunning Sentinel penthouse with a marina berth was sold for $4,250,000 by Rob Lamb and Michael Kollosche.

In February, Rob and his team sold a full floor unit on Level 18 prior to auction for $2,850,000, and a unit on Level 15 for $1,425,000.

The current luxury apartment market is under supplied – our recent sales confirm that buyers are seeking larger style floorplans, those with great facilities and amenities that offer a place to call home for the next phase of their life (either downsizing from a large home or have relocated from interstate).
