Kollosche Notches Up Steady Stream of Early January Sales

Kollosche is notching up a steady stream of sales in the opening weeks of the year.

Eleven properties have gone unconditional since January 1 totalling more than $50,540,000 in residential sales in only 18 days, representing a breadth of housing stock – from hinterland acreages to beachfront apartments to large waterfront homes.

Demand remains strong with the steady sales a show of confidence in the market and proof that buyers are willing to transact on properties, albeit at a more considered pace than in recent years.

One of the country’s leading auctioneers Tom Panos travelled to the Gold Coast last week to put some of Kollsoche’s properties under the hammer, kicking off with 567 Lismore Road, Nashua last weekend.

Marketed by sales agent Shaun Lowry, the property, alongside ‘Kincora Farm’, a 45 hectare acreage in nearby Coopers Shoot, was one of the most viewed on Kollosche’s website in the week before the auction.

The unique lifestyle property of more than 28 hectares in the Byron Bay hinterland features an original dairy farmer’s cottage and self-contained guest accommodation, along with a five-hole golf course and more than 3.5km of Byron creek frontage.

Bidding for the acreage known as ‘Akubra’, stretched beyond an hour before the hammer fell in what was an emotional sale for the owner. Kollosche is unable to report the sale price due to a non-disclosure agreement.

Tom is also set to commandeer the auction of 64 Cabana Boulevard in Benowa Waters, which is going under the hammer on 27 January at 2pm. A large crowd is expected, with the unusual South East Asia design, resort-style oasis, marketed by sales agents Daniel Sharp and Michael Kollosche, attracting plenty of pre-auction attention.

In other early 2023 sales, Main Beach specialist Duncan Longmore offloaded a sub-penthouse in the iconic Liberty Panorama building at 2242/1 Lennie Avenue. Offering a front-row seat to panoramic coastal views, the three-bedroom luxury apartment was sold for $4,600,000. The sale earned a tidy gain for the owners, who bought the property in 2021 for $3,700,000.

Buyers hoping to bid on a five-bedroom home in a private acreage estate at 33 Lagoon Park Drive in Maudsland won’t get the chance after the property was snapped up ahead of its scheduled 5 February auction. Receiving several written offers, it sold for $2,600,000 through sales agent Kara Cristensen to a local buyer.

105B ALBATROSS AVENUE | Kollosche

In the exclusive suburb of Mermaid Beach, $7,000,000 was paid for 105B Albatross Avenue, marketed through Michael Kollosche and sales agent Marco de Vincentiis. Demand for properties along this stretch, which joins elite Hedges Avenue, is growing rapidly.

At Hope Island in the northern Gold Coast, licensed estate agent Will Sarti sold 2634 Virginia Drive for $5,060,000 in a swift ten days through private treaty.

In Broadbeach Waters, a collaboration between agents Jay Helprin, Michael Kollosche, and Nicky and Jason Cunningham led to the $5,150,000 sale of 285-287 Monaco Street.

An acreage property at 30 Earle Court in Tallai, also marketed by Brad Coyne, sold for $1,950,000, while a waterfront entertainer in 159 Campbell Street, Sorrento, an elite enclave in Bundall, sold for $3,750,000 through sales agent Eddie Wardale.

9 TUMBI STREET | Kollosche

Rounding out the list was 9 Tumbi Street, Broadbeach Waters, which sold for $2,350,000 through Michael Kollosche and Jay Helprin; and 14 Mackay Close, Sorrento ($1,450,000) and 121 Sir Bruce Small Boulevard, Benowa Waters ($3,950,000), both sold by agents Sam Guo and Julia Kuo.
